“The Restaurant Sim is a collaborative problem solving simulation which fits several competencies in the new New Zealand curriculum. What is particularly powerful about this “sim” is that the skills and competencies flow from genuine engagement from students. They tackle the kinds of problems seen on several popular chef and restaurant programmes.

Our students were absorbed in the tasks required to win as manages in such a restaurant. In doing so, gained a practical understanding of the factors at work in real world businesses.

We look forward to working with other schools and teachers in the impact of such software and recommend it be considered for wider implementation across year levels.”
